This Professional & Scientific position will be filled as either an Application Developer (PIA2) or Senior Application Developer (PIA3) based on candidate qualifications and interview evaluation. Position Summary and Responsibilities for Application Developer:
To design and/or modify components of complex Community Connect Lawson Infor Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software modules for General Ledger, HR/Payroll, and Supply Chain and Epic General Ledger Interface.
Primary duties include workflow analysis, optimization, application build, testing and implementation. Other responsibilities include monitoring production issues, testing special updates, and system documentation. Position requires wearing a pager and providing some 24 x 7 on-call support.
Position Summary and Responsibilities for Senior Application Developer:
To provide technical leadership, direction, and technical support for the development, configuration and ongoing maintenance of Community Connect Lawson Infor Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software modules for General Ledger, HR/Payroll, and Supply Chain and Epic General Ledger Interface.
Core job duties include:
·Collaborate with application owners and stakeholders to identify critical functional requirements for new or revised applications.
·Recommend technical design and procedures for new or revised applications.
·Review and analyze system problems to identify solutions and/or make appropriate referrals.
·Develop and maintain detailed project plans associated with system development, deployment, and ongoing support.
·Develop and maintain documentation to ensure recovery capability, as well as satisfactory and stable performance of the platform(s) and all applications and processes.
·May provide administrative and/or functional supervision over assigned staff.
·Provide some 24x7 on-call support.
·Travel to customer sites for sustained periods of time to support application implementation, upgrade, and or optimization.

Position Qualifications:
Education Required
·Some current relevant experience in the development and/or support of applications used by non-technical customers to support and enhance business processes
·Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with basic project management
·Driver’s license required and must meet the University of Iowa Fleet Services Program rules and regulations
·Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical staff
·Demonstrated job-related experience and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment
Desirable Qualifications for Application Developer
·Experience contributing to the support, configuration and development of an ERP solution in a hospital or rural ambulatory setting.
·Experience supporting Epic General Ledger Interface
·Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with financial management, support chain and HR/payroll business processes.
·Experience implementing and/or maintaining Lawson Infor software is strongly preferred.
·Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical staff on system implementation projects.
·Proven ability to write application test scripts
Desirable Qualifications for Senior Application Developer
·Experience contributing to the support, configuration and development of an ERP solution in a hospital or rural ambulatory setting.
·Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with financial management, support chain and HR/payroll business processes.
·Experience implementing and/or maintaining Lawson Infor software is strongly preferred.
·Experience supporting and maintaining General Ledger interface in EPIC
·Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical staff on system implementation projects.
·Proven ability to write application test scripts

- Bachelor’s in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related application development/support experience.
