Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa is seeking to fill a fulltime Computer Support Specialist. 

This position will interpret problems and provide technical support for computer hardware, software, and systems in Microsoft active directory environment. 

 

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Perform hands-on and remote troubleshooting at the desktop user level including installing, configuring, and upgrading software applications and computer systems
• Setup end user network access, rights, and appropriate access to files and directories
• Manage hardware assets, workstations, and peripherals
• Move workstations, printers, and general IT equipment
• Lead the IT portion of New Hire Onboarding, instructions on initial system access
• Able to explain technical concepts and procedures to non-technical users
• Additional IT related tasks as assigned

 

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years IT experience desired, preferably in healthcare; strong troubleshooting skills, have experience in multiple areas of information technology and be willing to be hands-on, no task too small type of attitude. 
• Must be able to demonstrate competencies in IT project implementation and follow through.
• Individual should possess strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Applicant should be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, be self-motivated, confident, and have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; outgoing personality is a plus.
• Must be able to work well with all people: vendors, senior and mid-level management, providers, and team members.
