Power Systems Distribution Engineer

Maquoketa Valley Electric Cooperative (MVEC) has an immediate opening for a Power Systems Distribution Engineer. We are seeking an innovative, self-driven electrical engineer to make immediate impatct at fast-paced, mid-size utility. MVEC relies on technology to improve reliability and service to our electric members.

Duties:

• Being a mid-sized utility, our engineering staff is asked to do many tasks. This position will help develop the next generation electric system and requires an individual who is curious, innovative, self-driven, and highly motivated. No two days will be the same at MVEC.
• Position creates/maintains multi-million dollar project list that drives co-op capital budget. 

Requirements:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
• Some experience in electric utility engineering is preferred; however, professional mentorship will be available.
