GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
This Web Developer I position is a developer with proven experience building web based applications and experience or interest in infrastructure / server related tasks. This is a dual responsibility position, encompassing both development and server based infrastructure sides.
This role must be flexible, open to new ideas, self-directed but comfortable asking for guidance and feedback, organized, and extremely attentive to details. Must communicate technical issues effectively in both oral and written format to technical and non-technical audiences.
The typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.UNIVERSAL CORE COMPETENCIES:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Act as first level support for platforms supported by the Web Development Team, working on service request and incident tickets.
- Experience developing websites and stand-alone web applications using PHP, C#, Java Script and/or a CMS.
- Understanding of .NET applications.
- Create well-designed, reusable objects.
- Knowledge of MSSQL and/or SQL Application Development and an understanding of database concepts.
- Understanding of SSO, SAML implementation (F5 experience is a plus).
- Experience in PowerShell or related Scripting.
- Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
- Ability to support Kirkwood’s web servers.
- Experience using Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience using GitLab.
- Understand browser-specific compatibility issues.
- Understanding of security frameworks, such as OWASP.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems
- Technical documentation creation and/or modification.
- System testing and regression testing assistance.
- Following the change management process.
- System maintenance activities.
- Seek out and participate in development opportunities above and beyond required training.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associates Degree in computer science or related field or 2 years of programming experience
- Must possess an understanding of the software development process
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field
- Higher Ed background is a plus, but not required.
