Randy’s Flooring is seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities Technician to oversee the maintenance and repair of our retail stores in Coralville and Cedar Rapids, as well as our warehouse and neighboring affiliated buildings. This full-time position plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of all facilities. The ideal candidate will work with on-site staff and independently to keep the facilities operating in a safe manner.

This is a full-time, hourly position with work hours of Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues related to facilities maintenance.
• Have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and technical information.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with tenants, subcontractors, and customers.
• Take pride in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of all facilities.
• Be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
• Dependable, resourceful, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Prior experience in facility maintenance or a related field is required

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all facilities through regular inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
• Perform on-site diagnostics, determine appropriate solutions, and make necessary repairs.
• Work with outside vendors such as plumbers, electricians, and other contractors to address specialized maintenance needs.
• Perform other functions as assigned to support operational needs.
