Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa’s is searching for a patient focused RN to work full time (Mon-Thurs, 10 hour shifts) in our busy Rheumatology practice and infusion center. 

Signing bonus is available for this position!

 

Clinic duties include but not limited to: Assisting with procedures, preparing injections, follow up on and recording of test results, patient education, completing prior authorizations for treatment and diagnostic testing, screening calls for physicians and answering patient questions.

 

Infusion duties will include but not limited to: Perform initial patient assessment prior to each infusion and ongoing assessment for each infusion after to ensure patient is without infection, adverse reaction, or other complications. Will perform venipuncture with aseptic technique and ensures sterility of a closed IV system and will also provide patient education of IV therapy and how the process works. 

Will be responsible for preparing IV medication per drug reconstitution protocol and administer medication per manufacturer's guidelines. Will also assist with clinical drug study patient infusions as needed.

 

Requirements:

• Qualified RNs must have current nursing license. 
• BLS required or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment.
• The successful candidate must maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times. 
• The qualified individual will be patient focused and must work well with team members.
• Must also have a high level of comfort in working and become proficient with computer systems and medical software.
