Nurse Practitioner - Urology

The Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work full-time in our Urology Department. 

This is an opportunity to join a team of experienced physicians and staff dedicated to providing high quality care to our patients.  

This Provider will provide services by performing the following duties:

• Obtain and record assessment of each patient including but not limited to the patient’s chief complaint, a review of systems, the patient’s past medical history and the patient’s family history.
• Treat or make recommendations for follow up care by one of the PCI specialists.
• Performing and documenting a clinically appropriate physical examination of each patient.
• Performing and ordering clinically appropriate procedures for each patient and documenting same;
• Analyzing reports and findings of tests and clinical examinations in order to assess the medical condition of each patient, including formulating a diagnosis of the injury or illness and documenting same in conformity with applicable professional standards, third party payor requirements and PCI policies and procedures.
• Completing medical record documentation and billing entries in a timely and appropriate fashion

Requirements:

• Must be able to provide the highest level of service to patients, physicians, and all practice personnel.
• Applicants should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate professionalism in image and demeanor.
• Computer literacy, technical and clinical competency, and attention to detail are required.
