This is a full-time hybrid role for an Insurance Representative at Daley Insurance Agency, Inc.

The role is located in the Iowa City-Cedar Rapids Area, NE Iowa, with some work from home flexibility. The Commercial Insurance Representative will be responsible for insurance sales, insurance renewals and providing exceptional customer service.

 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Commensurate experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of two years commercial lines and personal lines experience working at an Agency is strongly preferred. 
  • Ability to apply technical expertise and sound logic to identify and analyze problems and implement effective underwriting solutions.
  • Ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine compliance with regulations or standards.
  • Good understanding of the form, content, and rating of insurance policies.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate & respond to specific complaints and inquiries. 
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements and loss history in order to determine acceptability of risk and appropriate product offering. 
  • Excellent customer service, networking and relationship building skills.
  • Exceptional oral communication skills. 
  • Excellent analytical, research, documentation and writing skills
  • Effective organizational skills, including the ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of design, implementation and interfaces of current systems and applications that are used in the insurance industry.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong sales, influence, and negotiation skills
  • Solid problem-solving ability and excellent presentation skills
  • Must be pro-active, driven and take initiative

Requirements: 

  • Must have a valid State insurance license to sell insurance
  •  Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing and be able to drive an automobile.

Pay:

  • Income includes salary plus commission.
  • First year opportunity can hit 150,000 with right person
