Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa is seeking a Certified Coder with experience to join our multi-specialty organization.  

 

Responsibilities include designating appropriate CPT and ICD-10-CM codes and selecting appropriate level of service for consults, office calls, hospital visits and surgery.

 This individual will also ensure that the appropriate principal procedures are selected and sequenced correctly. Will also ensure appropriate/supporting documentation is part of the medical record for any claim filed. Certified Coders will also meet periodically with our providers to discuss coding trends and provide training as needed. This individual will also generate internal coding audits for our providers when requested and assist in presenting those findings.

The qualified candidate will be a certified coder, will have excellent communication skills, and must work well with a variety of coworkers. 3-5 years coding experience preferred.  Must also have a high level of comfort in working with computer systems.
