Do you enjoy a position in a clinic setting which will keep you busy and offer variety in your workday and week?  Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehab may be the place for you!  We are seeking a full time CMA to work in our specialty practice.  This position is eligible for a signing bonus!

Duties include but not limited to:

• Working along with providers in a clinic setting
• Prepare patients for physician visits and procedures
• Patient education on upcoming procedures, medications, etc. per provider’s protocol
• Prepare patient pre-procedure
• Monitor patients post procedure until discharge
• Enter patient orders for testing, and follow up on test results
• Send referrals for prior authorizations for treatment and diagnostic testing
• Triage patient calls for providers and answer patient questions
• General clerical duties

 

Requirements: 

• The successful candidate must maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times. 
• The qualified individual will be patient focused, possess excellent communication skills and must work well with team members.
• Must also have a high level of comfort in working with and become proficient in computer systems.
• Must have current certification; current CPR certification required, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
